Stapeley Water Gardens

POS Landcare has taken a freehold transfer of a large ecological habitat adjacent to the David Wilson housing scheme recently completed at the former Stapeley Water Gardens, in Cheshire.

As part of the residential development the existing habitat was retained and enhanced creating ten ponds which provide an excellent habitat for the population of great crested newt which were present on the site.

POS Landcare have appointed the services of Cheshire Wildlife Trust to act as our ecologists and the Trust will monitor the populations of great crested newts and other amphibians to ensure that the wildlife conservation areas continue to be a stronghold for nature and advise on how best to manage the habitats in the long-term.
